I first made this drink about two weeks ago and the taste was very different and I wasn't sure if I liked it or not. I wanted to give the recipe a second shot, so second try I added half a banana, spoonful of homemade peanut butter, a squirt of agave and a pinch of cinnamon then whirled until smooth. Mmmmmm!! So, for me on its own the flavor was satisfactory but as a 'base' for smoothies it is outstanding and an excellent choice for dairy-free option. Reviewed for N*A*M*E tag.

This worked out beautifully!! I was making tahini in the vitamix and how easy to just throw in some water & agave (used agave to make this vegan) after I was done instead of wasting my time scrapping out all the leftover bits!! Plus I get a special treat in the process!! This was super yummy & I have to agree with Veggiequeen if it wasn't so high in fat it would be my daily drink of choice. YUMMY!! Thanks Ummbinat! Made for the lovely VIP in Veg*n Swap 31!!

Oh wow! For those on restricted diets this is the BEST recipe ever. And it takes less than a minute to prepare! Lurking on vegan forums I only recently discovered that tahini can be used to create a substitute for regular milk. Who would have thought! I am on a really restricted allergy diet at the moment and can't have dairy, soy, oats, etc. and I'm also allergic to nuts. So that pretty much rules out all milk substitutes for me. This is a godsend! I added 1/4 teaspoon stevia (to taste) and then blended until the mixture was frothy. I'd be drinking it every day if it wasn't so high in fat :-(

This taste is totally exquisite! I made half the quantities dictated with a very thin tahini with orange blossom honey in ice-cold spring water, I'd try to thicken it up next time because the first few sips tasted like flavored water, it got better as I drank more of it. This would make a nice cooking base to use in place of rice milk or soymilk. Made as a recipenap for Veggie Swap 24.

Mmmmm, such a yummy way to start the day! I had this for breakkie today using all organic tahini from unshelled sesame seeds. It was so good!!!! I had to leave out the honey this time due to dietary restrictions, but will surely add it next time Im making this and I think I will make this often again as I enjoyed it so much. THANK YOU SO MUCH for sharing it with us, UmmBinat! Made and reviewed for Veggie Swap #24 July 2010.

Great tasty substitute for milk! Tastes like liquid halva which I like very much :) Used this for a sour cherry smoothie and will try it with other smoothies, too. Thanks for posting! Made for Spring PAC 2010.
