My daughter was going vegan for a week (normally vegetarian with dairy) and we needed cornbread to go with our vegan chili. Surprised how good this was! Not too dry and just the right amount of sweetness! Thank you Chelle_N. Will probably make as my regular cornbread :)

My hubby is allergic to milk products and I had no soy milk in the house, so I tried this recipe. In his words, "Mmmm, good!".

I have recently diagnosed food allergies to dairy and eggs so this was a good find for me. It was delicious, if you like sweet cornbread. 1/4 cup of sugar sounds like a lot, but without the natural sweetness of milk, it is perfect. It is very crumbly but that's okay, we kind of like it that way.

This was just ok. I was desperately searching for a no egg/no egg substitute recipe and this was the one I found. It had okay flavor, but a gritty texture. DH won't eat chili without cornbread so I had to come up with something...luckily he just crumbled it into his chili and didn't notice that big of a difference. I'm just used to moist, dense and flavorful cornbread, but will keep this on hand when out of eggs.

I had a taste for cornbread and no eggs. This has a great texture and flavor (if you like sweet cornbread, which I do) and is incredibly easy. I'll make this again--even if I have eggs next time I want cornbread!
